90年代、N.Yハーレムへ渡米、AFROBEATと出会う。
Yoshi Takemasa［Akoya AFROBEAT］と共にstreetを中心に演奏。
バンド名に掲げた ODODOの名前どおり　オリジナルな真の日本発のAFROBEATを目指す。
サックス一本で聴かせるオリジナルスタイルを確立しているリアルなプレイヤー。

KOYO sax
Born in Amami Ōshima, KOYOsax is a saxophone player and the leader of the Far Eastern Afrobeat band ODODOAFROBEAT.
In the 1990s, he moved to Harlem, New York, where he encountered Afrobeat and began performing on the streets together with Yoshi Takemasa (Akoya Afrobeat).
Staying true to the name ODODO, which means “true” or “original,” his band aims to create authentic Afrobeat born in Japan. KOYOsax is a real player who has established his own distinct style, captivating audiences with just his saxophone.
